Dr Bharat Bushan, KAS, Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Lakhanpur-Sarthal, was also transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, against an available vacancy. He shall, however, continue to hold the charge of the post of Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Lakhanpur-Sarthal, in addition to his own duties, till further orders The reshuffle followed PDP MLA Javed Mustafa Mir on Saturday intervening in the assembly while waving clipping of a newspaper. The newspaper suggested that an IAS officer had cut her wrist and was barely saved by the attendants. Mir wanted the government to inform the house that if an officer cannot control the personal emotions, how that officer can be entrusted with a sensitive district.
It was not immediately known if the newspaper report has any links with any of the six transfers that followed the cabinet meeting. While the GAD put the transfers on its website, there was no press statement issued in this regard.
