Srinagar, June 27: Much to the disappointment of the functioning of seven Offshoot campuses of Jammu University Viz Bhaderwah Campus, Reasi Campus, Kishtwar Campus, Kathua Campus, Poonch Campus, Ramnagar Campus and Udhampur Campus are run by the contractualappointees, beside government fails to provide them the sufficient funds for meeting out day to day affairs of these university campuses as a result of which all these seven campuses are dying a natural death and required massive financial support for their existence as well as survival in future.
Due to poor management of Jammu University, the University Campuses also fails to utilized the funds provided by the Union HRD Ministry, Government of India as a result of which the developmental activities in these offshoot campuses of Jammu University suffered badly. The main campus of Jammu University has 248 permanent teaching staff, 1027 permanent non teaching staff, 240 consolidated non teaching staff, 72 contractual teaching staff, 68 contractual non teaching staff and 117 daily rated employees. As per the details given by the government in reply to the question of Congress MLC from Bhaderwah, there are 17 contractual teaching staff, 3 non teaching staff and 18 daily rated staff working in Bhaderwah University campus along with 13 permanent teaching staff and 49 non teaching staff. The condition of other six university campuses are the worst as far as posting of permanent staff in these university campuses is concerned.
The Reasi campus is managed by six contractual employees which include 4 teaching staff and 2 daily rated employees while Kishtwarcampus is managed by 19 persons which include 10 contractual teaching staff, 2 non teaching staff and 7 daily rated employees, Kathuacampus has 2 permanent teaching staff, 5 permanent non teaching staff, one consolidated non teaching staff, 12 contractual teaching staff, 3contractual non teaching staff and 5 daily rated employees.
Poonch campus is managed by 1 permanent non teaching staff, 1 consolidated non teaching staff, 5 contractual teaching staff, 1 contractualnon teaching staff and 2 daily rated employees.
Ramnagar Campus is managed by 11 contractual teaching staff, 2 contractual non teaching staff and 9 daily rated employees and Udhampur campus is managed by 1 consolidated non teaching staff, 9 contractual teaching staff, 3 contractual non teaching staff and 3 daily rated employees. |
