Early Times Report Jammu, June 28: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to Chief Minister to take up the issue of implementation of recommendations of 7th Pay Commission by arranging provision of proper budget and other financial grants, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As per press release, Shastri said that as the announcement regarding the implementation of recommendations of 7th pay commission is any time and urged Mehbooba Mufti to vigorously take up the issue of funding with centre, so that the J&K becomes the first state in the country to provide benefits of revised salary /pension to its employees and pensioners, along with central government employees and pensioners, he said. While addressing a well attended meeting of NMC activists here, Shastri hailed recent decision of state cabinet favoring pensioners and employees on superannuation with the latest DA installment to be calculated while finalizing ,their pension claims. Shastri hoped that with such a chief Minister, the benefits of 7th pay commission, this time will available without much struggle as has been the norm with previous governments. Shastri further appealed him to increase medical allowance to rupee two thousand per month as the present rupee three hundred is highly insufficient to meet medical expenses by older population. |
