Early Times Report doda, June 28: JKRCEA Chaneb Valley today urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to restores reservation in promotion. Speaking on the occasion, JKRCEA leader Joginder Singh Rai said that few selected people were hell bent to damage the cause of more than 85 per cent population of state. "When they claimed that reservation has infringed into their constitutional rights as according to them the reserve categories in J&K have been granted to the people across the line of religions and social groups like Brahmins, Rajputs, Mahajans and others who come from RBA and ALC categories thus restricting the idea of reservation to only one or two social groups is not justified", he said. They sought intervention of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to restore reservation in promotions which was otherwise available to the employees of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Resident of Area (RBA), Actual Line of Control (ALC), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories. |
