Nav Usha stages nukkad play "Nashe Ki Latt" | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, June 29: Nav Usha, an NGO, staged a nukkad play "Nashe Ki Latt" at Samba to create social awareness in public especially among youth who are rapidly involving themselves in drugs and alcoholism thereby spoiling their careers and life. The play was written by well known writer and social activist Rampaul Dogra and directed by Usha Rani. In the story, Ramu used to return home under influence of liquor in the evening in unconscious condition and speaks abusive language with his wife Shallu. Shallu being a religious lady wants to make an ideal household where such things do not have any place. She requests his husband Ramu to leave the habit of drinking as the children are watching his activities and will have negative effect on them. They have to get good education and secure life but Ramu indulges in fight with his wife in front of children. His daughter and son also oppose his habit but to no use. He beats his wife and children every day which literally turns his house into a battle field. This practice remains continue and family's atmosphere goes from bad to worse. A day comes when his son came into contact of drug peddlers who did his brainwash for taking drugs and with that family now faces more tough time. Meanwhile, the village Sarpanch comes to their house to inform that police party is roaming in the village to arrest his son for being connected with drug mafia. On hearing this Ramu and his children start crying and say that they may be given one chance to mend their ways, Ramu assures the Sarpanch that we will abjure all types of such habits for ourselves and for the society. |
