SRINAGAR, June 29: While raising strong concern over the recent statement of BJP asking for bombardment on the areas of POK, Youth National Conference (YNC) here has asked the ruling party to think about the fate of border residents before issuing such statements which can also hamper the attempts of peace between the two countries.
In a press statement issued here, YNC Jammu Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that the statement of party sitting in rule both in state as well as in centre is not only volatile but also shows ideological gap between PDP and BJP.
"PDP bats for dialogue and raises slogan "Na Bandook Se Na Goli Se Baat Bane Gi Boli Se" and its coalition partner is now openly pressing the need for bombarding POK which can trigger a fresh war between both the neighbours," Jan said.
"During border tension, many innocent resident lost their lives while several get physically challenged and property loss also remained on higher side and these figures are enough to tell the problems of border residents at the time of cross border tension, " he added.
"You (BJP leaders) should think twice before issuing such volatile statements," Jan further pressed.
Jan also pointed out that with this single statement of BJP, people living along border in Jammu division (both near LoC and IB) are in a state of fear as they suffer when any problem erupts.
Jan also hailed the efforts of NC MLA Devinder Singh Rana for raising the issue in house and to aware the politicians of BJP and PDP about the consequences of such statements.
He further asked Chief Minister to clear her stand whether PDP is in favour of bombarding POK or not.
