SIM Kathua threatens to launch hunger strike for vacating govt land

Jammu, June 30 : Samajik Insaaf Movement (SIM), Kathua has threatened to launch a hunger strike on July 1 of 2016for vacation of Social Welfare Land by some locals at Ward no 2, Mohalla SC Pathwal in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district.
Despite repeated directions by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kathua Sub-District Magistrate (SDM) Hiranagar, Block Development Officer Hiranagar and Tehsildar Hiranagar, Station House Officer (SHO) Hiranagar failed to lodge First Investigation Report (FIR) against an alleged land encroacher who had reportedly encroached a piece of Panchayat land.
According to official orders in possession of Early Times, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kathua in an official communication to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua stated that the social welfare officer kathua vide his letter no DSWO/K/2013-14/2041-46 dated 23-12-2013 addressed to the then SHO Hiranagar intimated that one person namely Sewa Ram son of Bui Dass of Pathwal has illegally constructed some building/structure on social welfare land at Khasra no 214 in Pathwal tehsil Hiranagar under jurisdiction of hiranagar police station.
The District Social welfare officer Kathua vide above referred lettere has requested to then SHO Kathua to register FIR against the encroacher and take legal action under rules but when no action was taken place the DDC Kthua wrote an letter to SSP kathua for action in this connection on 20-02-214 following which
Tehsildar Hiranagar Jatinder Mishra on June 30, 2015 submitted a reported in which it was stated that the illegal building erected one Kanal and one Marla on Social Welfare Land at Pathwal has been demolished.
However, till then no FIR was registered against the alleged encroacher and then the BDO Hiranagar in his communication to the SHO Hiranagar vide order no BDO/Hgr/2015-16/936-40 dated 14-09-2015 stated that the said land has been evacuated from the clutches of alleged encroacher but the encroacher re-encroached the said land and removed the barbed wire fencing.
Later, an official communication from the office of BDO Hiranagar Vide order no. BDO/Hgr/2015-16/969-73 dated 22-09-2015 in which it was re-intimidated about lodging of FIR against the encroacher.
