Early Times Report

Srinagar, June 30: In order to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is arriving in Srinagar tomorrow wherein Mr. Singh will held a series of meeting with top security officials from Police, Army, BSF, CRPF and other agencies working in field related to maintain law and order and security. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti along with Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh and some cabinet ministers in PDP-BJP government will also be the part of the security review meeting on the latest situation in the state after 25th June 2016 Pampore attack by two LeT terrorist killing 8 CRPF personals and injuring 22 others. The sources said that the state police chief and the Commissioner Secretary Home J&K will brief the Union Home Minister about the security measures taken by the security agencies to prevent Pampore like terror attack beside will also brief him about the security measures put in place for Amarnath Yatra, the first batch of which was flagged off today from Lakanpur.
The sources said that the meeting will also discuss on the modalities of replacing of CRPF with BSF, beside there are also reports that J&K government will put some demands before the union Home Minister for providing funds for modernization of the police force in the state beside also for strengthening the intelligence network for timely action.
The sources informed the "Early Times" that politicizing of police force in state of Jammu and Kashmir has a direct impact on the functioning of the various agencies like CID, CID (CI) and District Special Branch of Police added that politicians are making direct interference in posting of various police officers according to their own choice wherein the deserving police officers were left high and dry.
The sources said that after coming into power, the ruling BJP-PDP government ministers, MLAs/MLCs, senior party leaders and functionary were seen interfering in transfer of even constable, Selection grade, Head Constable, ASI, SI and other police functionaries into their own hands through some blue eyed officers posted in the PHQ.
The sources said that CID, CID (CI) and DSB branch of police are key in building a strong intelligence network where mostly local police personals including Constables, Selection Grade Constables and Head constables were posted so that they could mingled in public and collected the information both practically as well as on hearsays, but after the change of guard in the state, the local police personals posted in these branches were transferred en-mass and thus damaged the spirit of the intelligentsia that ultimately falls to political vendetta leading to its failure and helps the militants to carry out the Pampore like terror attacks.
The sources laid stress on the government to revamp the local intelligentsia by engaging locals to counter and to check the growing foot prints of the sleeper cells of the Pakistani based militant organization operating in different parts of the state.
Meanwhile after surfacing the name of LeT Chief Hafiz Saeed's son-in-law Khalid Waleed in masterminding the Pampore attack along with two of his associates identified by security agencies as Hanzla Adnan and Sajad Jat who played handlers to the two militants who killed in security forces retaliation fire in a terror attack on CRPF convey near Pampore on Anantnag-Srinagar National Highway killing 8 CRPF personals and injuring 22 others, the LeT Chief Hafiz Saeed's deputy and number two in Lashker hierarchy Abdur Rehman Makki who is also the brother-in-law of Hafiz Saeed in his reference to the June 25 attack at Pampore carried out by two LeT terrorists while praising his men termed them as "Lions surrounded the convoy of jackals" and urged on Pakistanis to join them to wage an open war against India.
In video posted on social networking site facebook accounts links to Jamaat-ud-Dawa, a front outfit of the LeT founded by ts chef Hafiz Saeed and now banned in Pakistan after US pressure, Abdur Rehman Makki while speaking at a rally in Gujranwala in Pakistan where Hafiz Saeed was on the stage with him in a video of the event which was uploaded a day after the attack was showering all his praises for the killed terrorists and was seen issuing fresh threats to India which hardly goes into the deaf ears of the Pakistani establishment who time and again calling Lashker Chief as "Holly Cow", despite knowing the fact that Saeed and his militant organization was involved in carrying out several terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and in different parts of the country including in infamous Mumbai terror attack of 26/11. LeT Chief Hafiz Saeed also issued open threat to India and praises the two Pakistani militants killed in Pampore who according to Saeed belongs to Gujranwala Pakistan
"Shaheedon ke waarison (the legal heirs of martyrs)… .mubarak ho aapko… aap ki khoon rang la rahi hai (congratulations. your blood is showing its color)" Saeed says which it self suggested that both the militants belongs to Pakistan and a militant outfit LeT operating from its (Pakistan) soil, the charge time and again denied by the Pakistani government and its army.
