Early Times Report Srinagar, June 30: Asserting that security forces have effectively countered militant activities in the state, J&K government today said there has been an increase of over 110 per cent in militant killings in 2016 in J&K. Meanwhile, there has been an increase of 48 per cent in militant arrests while civilian causalities has witnessed a dip of 11 per cent as compared to last year. The government also said that the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, who were attacked on Srinagar-Jammu national highway at Pampore, didn't fire to prevent civilian causalities though they(CRPF) were well equipped. |
