Plantation drive held at JSC

Jammu, July 22: Jammu Sanskriti School on Friday held a plantation drive in the school premises and the surrounding areas of the school in which students of 6th to 10th standards planted sapling of several plants.
According to press release, with the slogan of planting one tree means planting a whole living system. Working towards for this noble cause and with a view to check environment degradation and make surrounding clean and green, students along with staff member planted 100 major plants like Mullbury, Sangwan, Teak, Jamun etc in the village Darp.
The students of Pre-Primary classes planted medicinal plants in school compound. They were placed in freshly dug-corth mud with manure. The school Mali offered friendly tips to ensure each sapling was carefully tendered. Saplings like Neem, Tulsa, Jamun, Aloe Vera etc were planted.
Principal cum Vice Chairperson of the school Rohini Aima through their message sensitized the students on the value of tree plantation and to make environment clean and green for life to be healthy & happy.
