| RMSA office says info exempted under RTI? | | Selection of Vocational Training Partners | |

SRINAGAR, July 23: The Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan (RMSA) Directorate in J&K has told an information seeker that information about providing copies of marks sheets of selected Vocational Training Partners (VTPs) is exempted under Right to Information Act as the same involves Rule 8.
Details available with Early Times reveal that RMSA recently shortlisted 5 organisations as VTPs in J&K for undertaking vocational training in some selected Higher Secondary Schools of J&K. As the selection process was alleged to have been done in violation of norms , an application was filed by some aggrieved persons to know about the details of marks given to all the 13 organisations which were shortlisted by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
Public Information Officer (PIO) of RMSA Directorate in J&K, Manmeet Bali, in her reply, told the information seeker that the information was exempted under Rule 8 (d) of J&K RTI Act 2009.
The J&K RTI Movement is planning to challenge the said order before the State Information Commission (SIC). " We will challenge this order before SIC," an office bearer of the movement said.
"How can RMSA allot a project to an organisation which hasn't undertaken any similar project in past?" he asked. |
