MES employee murder case: deceased’s wife alleges MES for adopting callous approach

udhampur, July 23 : One of the bereaved families who lost their kin in much hyped double murder at Main Power House of Military Engineering Services (MES) near Chopra Shop in 2011, has alleged the MES department for adopting non supportive and unsympathetic approach towards the dependent of deceased.
While talking to Early Times, Veena Devi wife of Moti Ram (deceased) said, "My husband (Moti Ram) an electrician (HS) s/o Isher Dass was serving in MES deportment and at the time of tragic incident was performing his duties at Main Power House of MES near Chopra Shop, Garhi Udhampur alongwith another employee Bodh Raj Elect (SK) were murdered in cold blood by some miscreants while performing their night duty during the intervening night of 01/02/2011.
Narrating her ordeal to met both ends after the death of lone bread earner, she said, " I have repeatedly sent to applications to higher MES authorities at HQ Chief Engineer Northern Command but all such attempts turned futile.
"The authorities i.e. MES Department every time assures that my case regarding compassionate appointment is in progress and HQ is considering my compassionate appointment as per instructions issued by DOP7T," she lamented . " official often say -your case falls to meet required merit but considering the case on humanitarian basis the headquarters has also requested to the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur to consider your case for a suitable employment in Jammu and Kashmir State keeping in view the gravity of matter, she said with a remorseful face. She also added I had also requested to the MES deportment to appoint my son in place of my husband in the MES deportment on the same post so that the family may get a livelihood but the matter still is under consideration but how much time it will take still we don't know.
"And till tan we are on the mercy of God and are managing our day to day affairs by accepting menaila jobs, she added
