7/24/2016 11:24:40 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, July 24: A JKAP Sub-Inspector was alleged to be minting huge money nowadays by investing in disputed properties in Chhani Himmat, Sainik Colony, Sidhra and Bhatindi areas of the winter capital here and then selling them on higher rates. He has also remained posted as a police post incharge in a peripheral area of the city. During his stay there, he developed a wide network of contacts with property dealers in the area and started earning money through them, police sources alleged. He mostly dealt in disputed properties, sources alleged, saying he had developed thick relations with some property dealers here. Though he was later transferred to another district, his activities did not stop and he continued to deal in disputed properties with the help of his batchmates who were then posted in Jammu, sources said. He was now posted in an armed battalion and had been running the real estate business from there, misusing his official position, sources alleged. "He mostly remains busy in the real estate business and hardly attends his duties," sources alleged.
