JAMMU, July 24: A minister, who hails from Kashmir, has got his favourite police Inspector transferred from the railway police to Kashmir zone.
From the Kashmir zone, the minister was now trying for his posting in his constituency to consolidate his position, police sources alleged.
Sources said the Inspector, who himself was quite influential, was transferred to the railway police some time back. He tried a lot for his posting back to Kashmir zone, but when he failed, he approached the minister, the sources added.
The minister spoke to the PHQ and managed his transfer to Kashmir zone. He was now influencing the senior officers at PHQ for his posting in his constituency, sources said.
The Inspector, who had remained SHO of several police stations in Kashmir, was again sure to be posted as SHO in the minister's constituency, sources said. |
