SAMBA, July 24: A free heart check-up cum awareness camp was organized today at Shri Narsing Dev Ji Mandir, Ghagwal.
Dr Amit Gupta, Chief Intervention Cardiologist, Chauhan Multispecialty Hospital, Kotli, Pathankot, conducted the camp with the support of Mahant Ajay Dass ji of Shri Narsing Dev Ji temple. Dr Gupta along with his cardiac team checked around 250 heart patients. Their basic heart investigations including ECG, Blood Glucose and Cholesterol level which were done free of cost. The patients were also provided with free medicines.
The aim of the camp was to make the people aware about Cardiovascular disease which is the number one killer disease in the world. It was stressed upon the patients about the importance of healthy diet and lifestyle, regular exercise, control of blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol levels which together can decrease the incidence of heart diseases. |
