TJF demands transparency in transfers of teachers, masters | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, July 25: Alleging favouritism, nepotism and malpractice while preparing proposals of transfers of teachers as well as masters, the Teachers Joint Front (TJF) urged upon Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri to make all transfers strictly as per transfer norms adding that any political interference is not acceptable to the teaching community. TJF leaders Rajinder Sharma, Ab Hamid, Mukhtar Ahmed, Imtiyaz Ahmad and Zaffar Javaid under the chairmanship of Shahbaz Khan in a joint statement said that first priority must be given to female teachers working out of locality physically but not those who are working in locality near their houses since 5 years to ten years. There are some teachers and masters who managed their postings on fraudulent medical grounds and are working in one institution since 25 years adding that while preparing lists they must be transferred. They further said that in last year's transfers district administration at that time had constituted a committee along with set rules but when the transfer orders were issued the situation was totally different teachers and masters with a stay more than two years at one place were asked to submit their applications for transfer. However, when their transfer orders were issued, they were surprised to find that the 'blue-eyed' teachers had been adjusted suitably while others were sent to far-flung areas of the district. |
