Jammu, July 25: Noted refugee leader and chairman of SOS International, an organization of PoK refugees, Rajiv Chuni has alleged that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti immensely hates State subject PoK refugees as it has been evident from her deeds and acts towards State subject PoK refugees since the day, she has been holding the office of CM of the J&K State. Addressing a large rally of displaced persons from PoK at Rehari Colony here today, Mr Chuni said that the present BJP-PDP Coalition Government headed by Mehbooba Mufti has done such things which are not expected from head of the State. Speaking further, he said that it has been more than 100 days, since SOS International is seeking time from CM to meet her through different quarters. "First, our organization submitted a written request, then, CM's private secretary, Dr MK Dhar was approached telephonically scores of times but nothing positive came out. Then, CAPD Minister, Ch Zulfkar Ali was requested to arrange meeting but he also failed. Ultimately, SOS International approached Advisor to CM, Prof Amitabh Mattoo, he instead of arranging meeting time with CM, resorted to make fun of State subject PoK refugees. "It's unfortunate that the foremost victims of the State are not providing justice for the last 7 decades, they deserve. All the successive Governments talked for other communities but none of the Governments have talked about State subject PoK refugees. No one has shown any commitment to resolve the issues pertaining for destitute community of Jammu and Kashmir, " Chuni added. He said various political parties have been deceiving PoK refugees since 1947. It is a sort of deliberate attempt to keep refugees away from their legitimate rights. He stated that PoK DPs have been waiting since 1947 to get ointment to their wounds but unfortunately, some specific community based people don't let it happen. Chuni further said that Government should stop playing gimmicks. The refugees are ready to launch a decisive struggle to get the much awaited justice. Prof JS Mangal vice chairman, Lalit Kumar, Roshan Lal, Roshan Malhotra, Prof NN Sharma, OP Khajuria, VK Dutta, Virinder Khajuria, Dr JP Sharma, GS Isher and Sanjeev Suri also spoke on the occasion. |
