Early Times Report Jammu, July 26: All J&K SC/ST Retired Employees Forum strongly condemned the extremely unfortunate incident of Samadhiyala village of Gujrat where in four youths of Dalit community were striped ,beaten up and dragged when tide with vehicles for skinning a dead cow on 11th July,2016 by the castiest people. The incident led to the unprecedented protests by Dalits in many cities and towns of Gujrat as well as throughout the country. G L Thapa, president of the Forum said that this is not a solitary case of atrocities on Dalits as every now and then the Dalits are being subjected to such incidents. This speaks of the mind set of so called civilized upper caste Indians of 21st century towards Dalits. In spite of the safe guards already provided in the Constitution of India since its inception in the year 1950 by the Bharat Rattana B. R. Ambedkar the dalits are being discriminated. In the light of the above, the Forum strongly appealed to the Prime Minister of India to take a serious note of it and ensure strict action against the culprits so that such incidents do not occur in future.
