Jammu, July 26: Sourav Gupta, a student of Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School, Akalpur Morh, Udheywalla, Jammu brought laurels to state by winning Bronze Medal in International Karate Championship, organized by by Okinawa Gojuryu Karatedo Kugekai Association, India in Amirtsar. About 150 participants from Nepal, Butan, Burma, Malasiya participated in the International Karate Championship 16th participants from J&K also participated in the same. Sourav Gupta was well prepared and trained by Coach Nihal Sharma and school sports teacher Joginder Singh. School Principal Prof Annapurna Koul presented the winning medal to Sourav Gupta in a specially arranged school assembly. She congratulated the winner and also admired the Sports Teacher Joginder Singh for playing vital role in training the players and sending them for participation in the different National and International Championships. |
