Kishtwar, July 27: The Regional Director, Survey & Land Records Jammu, R.K. Shavan who has launched a crusade against the land grabbers including high profile civil and police officials has clarified report appearing in some sections of media FIR against him.
While talking to "Early Times" R K Shavan said that as a crusade launched against Land Mafia in Jammu by him in the last 2 years of his tenure as Regional Director, Survey & Land Records Jammu, many frauds have been detected where in high profile officers of police/ Civil Administration have been found to be involved. Shavan said that the accused land grabbers have tried to pressurize the Enquiry Officer.
He said that even one false FIR was registered that the Director Land Records sold State Land through "Farad-i-Intikhab" while the fact remained that he doesn't deal with even issuance of "Farad-i-Intikhab". He said that in the instant case some complaint has been received from the higher authorities against Dr. Koushal Kumar Sharma, the then SSP Vigilance for land grabbing of "Gair Mumkin" land recorded as "Khad"in Village Domana and an enquiry has been entrusted to SDM, North in this regard.
He said that the enquiry is still under process, but the said complainant (SSP Dr. Koushal Kumar Sharma) in order to divert the attention has lodged an FIR against Director Land Records, Jammu for cheating under impersonation when no such finding of the enquiry has been furnished so far.
The Director Land Records Rajesh Kumar Shavan has further clarified that the complainant has simply got the FIR lodged to divert the attention of Enquiry Officer against him so that the enquiry is stalled. He has shown surprise that how come a FIR has been lodged without even checking facts from his office. He had also stated to have written separately to Chief Secretary & the DGP of Police for enquiry in the matter.
