Jammu, July 28: Municipal Magistrate Jammu has issued summons against Inspector Anita Chopra, DySP Daljeet Singh, wife of DySP Daljeet Singh and brother of the DySP who allegedly confine the family of complainant hurt them after trespassing their house.
Order in possession of Early Times reads that the Municipal Magistrate Jammu issued summons against four persons including two police officers through Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu under sections 342, 506, 452, 323 of RPC.
"Earlier a written complaint was submitted to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu by the applicant which was forwarded to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu for enquiry but no action was taken and the court doesn't agreed with the investigation proceedings conducted by the police following which complainant was directed to get her statement and statements of witnesses recorded before the court", reads the order adding that after the perusal of the statement of complainant and her two witness the court is of the opinion that offences under section 342, 506, 452, 323 of RPC is made out against the accused person hence all the accused persons are directed to be summoned through SSP Jammu on next date of hearing which is scheduled on 05-08-2016.
The directions on the part of Court came to Police after one Bharti Gupta wife Bal Krishan Gupta, Gupta knocked the door of court and sought its intervention for protecting her family from Inspector Anita Chopra, presently posted with Railway Police Force Railway Station, Jammu and DySP, Daljeet CID Canal Road Jammu and Balbir Kour wife of DySP and Swaran Singh real brother DySP from whom he had raised loan @ 24 percent per annum.
The aggrieved in his complaint had alleged that some police officers offered him loan facilities @ 24 percent per annum and since he had dire need of money to run his business of Tour and Travel therefore he availed the same, adding twist lies in his life when even after paying the same with interest, the cops started harassing him in order to extract more money from him.
The complainant further alleged that even, they forcefully barged into his residence at Nanak Nagar and used filthy language against his wife and two daughters, besides tortured them.
