Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 23: In continuation with the ongoing 'Income Disclosure Scheme, 2016', a public meet was organized by the Income Tax Department with the representatives of Tax Bar association, Chamber of Commerce, Jewellers association, Beopar Mandal, Karyana association, Contractor association, other trade association, Doctors, Tax payers and prominent citizens of Udhampur and adjoining areas. The meeting was held under the guidance of Pr. Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K Jammu Sangeeta Gupta by S.K Sharma Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Range-2, Jammu alongwith ML Dogra, Income Tax Officer, Udhampur. Speaking on the occasion, SK Sharma, JCIT briefed on the techniques for promoting the business as per the changing needs of the modern business community. He emphasized that the growth of the business is directly linked with the growth of the Indian economy and positive growth will lead to the prosperity of the nation. Speaking on the benefits of honest tax paying, he informed the gathering that J&K is the only state where contribution of Rs. 100/- by the tax payers comes directly back to them in the form Rs. 125/- which is used for all round development of the state. He appealed the people to introspect within themselves and disclosed their undisclosed income and come clean by availing the benefits of this scheme. |
