Janmashtami celebrated across Jammu by educational institutes

Jammu, Aug 24: Various Educational institutes across Jammu celebrated Shri Krishan Janmashtami with full religious enthusiasm.
Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana celebrated Shri Krishan Janmashtami with full religious enthusiasm. Special assembly was conducted in the school premises. On this occasion, students came dressed in the colourful attires as Lord Krishna, Radha and Gopies to commemorate the human incarnation of Lord Krishna. The students also danced to bhajans and devotional songs. The school organized a special event to educate children about the significance of the festival. The students were familiarized with customs and rituals followed on Janmashtami. The ancient Puranas were also explained to the students.
JK Montessorie British School and its affiliated Unit J.K Little Millennium International School celebrated Janamasthami with gaiety and fervour in the school premises here today. Students were dressed in colourful costumes depicting roles of Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha. Students participated in fancy dress contest, colourful Rasleela, Makhan choor Leela and Dhai Handi were the main high light of this function. Teachers enlightened the students about significance of the festival and exhibited the true love of "Lord Krishna" and his beloved "Radha" by storytelling and puppet show.
Apple Kids International Pre School Gandhi Nagar Jammu celebrated Janamashtami with great enthusiasm. Children were dresed up as Radha and Krishna looking beautiful. Principal of the school Jagjeet narrated the story of lord Krishna that how he ended the evil.
SM Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School Anand Nagar, Patta Bohri, Jammu celebrated "Janamashtmi" with great enthusiasm and joy. The students of junior wing were dressed up in costumes of Krishna and Yashoda depicting the role of Krishna in generating Dharma. The students of higher wing delivered speech on the occasion and also participated in Matki and Jhula making competition.
KIDZEE, a pre- school of "Zee Learn Ltd.", Anand Nagar Bohri, Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat and Talab Tillo, Jammu celebrated "Janamashtami" in the school premises with great pomp and show. The function started with the special assembly in which the students were given demonstration regarding this festival. The small kids were dressed in Radha Krishna costume depicting the life of "Lord Krishna and Radha" graced the occasion by a melodious song.
Springdales Higher Secondary School (Krishna Nagar) celebrated Janamasthmi with full zeal and enthusiasm. Tiny angels of Kindergarten wing participated in fancy dress Competetion representing childhood of Radha and Krishna. Students performed amazing dance items depicting the life of lord Krishna. Principal Rashmi Malhotra delivered a speech in which she threw light on the life and activities of Shri Krishna.
MHAC Nagbani celebrated the auspicious festival of Krishna Janamashtami today in school premises, with a lot of fun and fervour. Various cultural items made the occasion bright & colourful. Students presented a breathtaking Dandiya on a melodious number. Many tiny tots of the school were dressed like Lord Krishna -the Lord Vishnu's incarnation & beautiful Radhikas. Special Krishna's swing was made & the charming Krishnas were made to sit in that along with enchanting of shalokas from Bhagwat Gita.
Dewan Devi Playway and Higher Secondary School, Rajpura Mangotrian today celebrated Janamashtami with great fervor. The programme began with the lighting of the auspicious lamp by the chairman of the school Sh. Subhash Chander Suri. The students of Kindergarten and Primary wing enthusiastically took part in various cultural activities, depicting the birth and childhood of Lord Krishna. The boys dressed a little Krishna and the girls as Radha , presented a magnificent sight to behold.
A function was organised in the School premises of Maharaja Hari Singh DAV public Higher Secondary School Udhampur on the occasion of Janamashtami. In this function the tiny tots of the institution presented a fancy dress show. The children of the institution depicted the various phases of Lord Krishna's life. Second group of the students of playway wing competed for best Radha And best Krishna.
Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu celebrated the pious festival of Janamashtami with great religious fevours in the School campus. Children dressed in fancy clothes as mythological characters added fervor to the auspicious day. A special assembly was organized to celebrate this festival. The primary wing started the assembly with devotional song. The senior classes presented a dance drama. Breaking of "Dahi -Handi"added colour to the festive programe and amused the staff and students.
May Fair Schools, Chinore, Chand Nagar and Janipur Branches organized functions to celebrate Janamashtmi in all the Branches. Raj Bharti Renowed Social Worker Of J&K was the Chief guest. Around 500 childrens from Nursery to 8th Classes of all the three branches took part in the celebration, they were dressed as Bal Krishan & Radha, Childrens Performed Ras leela , Kite Making & Krishna Jhula making Competion was organized for 4th Onward class students. Parents of the School children's who attended function appreciated the efforts of the School Management, Staff Members who worked hard so that there children's get the best.
Krishna Janmashatami was celebrated with enthusiasm at KC International School. A special assembly was conducted by Ruby House. The little Krishna and Radha looked adorable in their traditional costumes and the entire area was transformed into a land of joy, celebration and happiness. The order of the programme commenced with a bhajan recital which spell bound the heart of the audience. A speech was delivered to remind us the importance of Krishna ashtami and the traditional folk culture of our nation.
Stephens International Public School celebrated Janamashtmi also known as KRISHANASHTMI with great gusto. Colourful programme was presented by the students. Songs / Bhajjans and Dramatic enactment of Rass Leela was done. Students dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha for a function enhanced the stage presentation. Dignitaries present in the functions were Amarjeet Singh, Satvinder Saini, Shibu Mathew K, Vikesh Sandhal, Teachers and students from grade to grade XII. The main aim of the celebrations of different festivals is to make students know more about secularism.
As a tradition every year SOS Hermann Gmeiner School celebrated Janamashtami with enthusiasm this year too.The celebration started with the morning assembly especially devoted to Janamashtami. Two students spoke on the importance of the day. The students presented a dance and song.The tiny tots of Kindergarten presented a beautiful dance from `Govinda Ala Re', while there was a 'Bhajan Recital' as well.
Rich Harvest celebrated Janamashtmi Rich Harvest, as a tradition to imbibe secular spirit amongst the children and to create awareness about the Rich Indian culture always celebrates all the festivals which impart knowledge to children about different religion and culture. So, on the eve of Janamashtmi the children were taken to the Laxmi Narayan temple to pray to Lord Krishna and wish him on his Janamdin. All the children came dressed as, characters from life of Lord Krishna, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
Daffodils Care Convent Play way School, Jain Bazar celebrated Janamashtmi with great pomp and show. The occasion was started with a hymn of Lord Krishna. A play was also presented by the tiny angles showing the fight between Arjuna and Duryodhana where Lord Krishna was explaining Arjuna about the bond of brotherhood. Children were also looking very beautiful in the different characters of Mahabharata. Emphasizing the victory of God over Evil, a victory procession was run by little angles . The icing on the cake was the fight between Lord Krishna & Kaali Naag on the tunes of thundering music prepared by Dance teacher.
Madhuvan Kids Playway and Kindergarten celebrated Krishan Janmashtmi with religious fervour and gaiety. Children enacted popular episodes from the childhood of Krishna during a special assembly, followed by dance items. They learnt about the significance of the festival and heard the story of Krishna's birth. An idol of Lord krishna in the form of 'Lalji' was made to sit on a swing and made an offering.
JK Public School celebrated Janamashtmi with great zeal and enthusiasm. Keeping in view the traditions alive, the school celebrated the festival of the birth of Lord Krishna 'Janamashtmi' with great fervor.The day started with special assembly in which students of the choir sang a beautiful bhajan 'Yashomati Maiya Se Bole Nandlala'.
Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar celebrated Birthday of Lord Krishna on 24th of August, 2016 with great excitement and enthusiasm. The school was decorated with flowers, handmade buntings and portraits of Shri Krishna. The decoration was done in such a manner that it reminded the scenic beauty of Mathura - Vrindavan. Sh. Rameshwar Mengi (worthy principal of the school) along with the incharges was the guest of the occasion. The programme was commenced by the BREAKING OF MATKI at the very entrance of the school by the worthy principal.
Delhi Public School celebrated Janmashtami by organizing a special assembly with gusto and enthusiasm. The event started with a brief introduction by the comperes Kriti Gupta-XII F & Rajansh Vashishth XI B of Yamuna House. It was followed by the presentation by the School Choir with the song "Krishna Jinaka Naam Hai, Gokul Jinka Dham Hai" and mesmerizing performances in instrumental music. Gourang-VI D, Rhythm-VII and Divyan-VII I played Raag Bhopali on Violin, Vrindha-VI A and Aneesh-IX J played a light tune on Guitar, while Akarshit-VIII H gave a heart touching performance on Sitar on Raag Khamaj.
RM Public School celebrated Janam mashtami with zest and zeal. The school decorated its school premises with bunting balloons, and decorated the stage with mud pot and peacock feathers. The whole primary wing students came in dress of Krishna and Radha . The students of Pre- Primary, Primary and middle wing presented numbers of dance items. The students of primary wing also perform bhajan of Lord Krishna . They mesmerized the audience with their wonderful sweet music.
Small toddlers of Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi & Sidhra branch celebrated Janamashtmi Utsav in the school premises. The small toddlers came dressed up as Radha, Krishna, Yashodha Maiya, Gopiya to present a skit depicting scenes from Lord Krishna's birth till Raasrilla. Playing flute, having a bowl of butter and sharing laughter with friends, the fun clad event consisted of several entertaining competitions and games which apparently showered innumerable gifts over kids who were beautifully dressed in Lord Krishna's attire.
Krishna Janamashtami is a celebration of the earthy appearance of Lord Krishna, DPS Nagbani wore a festive look on Wednesday when the students took part in the celebration of Janamashtami by colourful attires of Radha, Krishna, Sudama, Gopis and Gawalas. The students celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm and presented songs and dance items depicting the events from Krishna's life. The students also took part in handi and mukut decoration. The main attraction of the programme was the 'Matki Fodh' event in which the students took interest with much enthusiasm. The theme of the programme was to show the life and holy messages of Lord Krishna.
