Let good sense prevail upon BJP & PDP
8/24/2016 8:39:11 PM

Mahadeep Singh Jamwal

The predictions by Pt. Devi Dayal Jyotshi and sons in their annual compendium of 'Jyotish' in their book 'Panchangdivakar' on J&K are falling in line as to the prediction of coalition government and influence of PDP in Kashmir and of BJP in Jammu, and of their internal bickering, cold war and chaotic situation, the government will pull on due to political compulsions. Due to increase in ideology of separatism in Muslim youngsters the problems of the government will escalate. Keeping in the existing frame work of the state, all these predictions are 100% true. The installation of new government in J&K after approximately three months chaotic situation of both players of the government and its assuming office marked with tough time for the New CM. The unhappy incidents in National Institute of 1st March 2016 took an ugly turn on the very next day of taking oath as CM and by her cabinet colleagues and the NIT row sparked the national atmosphere and government failed to come over the row in a right perspective, and owing to the prevailing situation inside the campus, the non local students have to leave the campus for their homes. We can credit to the present government for their insensitive approach to the situation by describing it in a different tone by both the government partners. Later on disallowing any nationalistic to visit the NIT to access the root cause, which would have definitely exposed the nefarious design of the government itself? It was compulsion of the PDP but BJP also kept silent owing to its faithful character to PDP. Just by leaving the campus it does not mean that the problem is over. On the other hand, deeply concerned about similar type of treatment expected for Kashmiri students studying in thousands, in other parts of the country, have compelled the state government to ask the center for their safety. Yes should be, but before asking for such mercy the government should realize, that at his home ground, it has utterly failed to give the similar environment to non-local students, how it expect the same from other governments. The basic trouble of this row was rising of slogans and of tricolor flag by the two groups of different ideological thinking and this thinking is not confined to the state of J&K only but in other parts of the country also, thus the repercussions are evident in other institutions of the country. Every day slogans against India and in favor of Pakistan, unfurling of Pakistani and ISIS flags, burning of Indian flags, hatred against non locals, resentment against army and Para-Military forces, if not a serious matter what else and more over when governments whether in past or present remain mute spectators, one is compelled to comment that all this is happening under the political patronage of the governments. The PDP is well known for its soft policies towards anti national element now the BJP pretending to be secular party have joined hands in providing sops to this ideology by allying for power with PDP and now working as 'yours faithfully' without understanding the feelings of the Jammuties and contributing in creating intolerable atmosphere in the state.
The NIT row is followed by 'Handwara incident' claiming four innocent lives. This episode is originated from news of maligning a local female student by an Army Jawan, aired in Handwara by the locals. Such allegations have been finding space earlier also and the results their off have been badly experienced by the administration and even by the locals also. The local administration totally failed to understand the gravity of the news and acting in a very casual way resulting into the death of four innocent people. Had the local administration registered the case and taken the army into confidence, the situation would have been averted. It is not that allegations leveled are always true but you can deny them with force only after thorough investigation and in the matter the local administration tried to pacify the locals that the matter will be looked into without realizing that atmosphere in the valley is not in favor of the army owing to its withdrawal demands. Moreover the situation was fully exploited by the vested interests also by calling shut down in the valley. Few words of so called effected girl student aired on some national channels denying the allegations and taken as separatists exposes too have been taken as a cover up to the incident orchestrated by the administration and this move (what may be the facts) failed to calm down the emotions of the locals fully surcharged by the vested interests. The prevailing scenario in the valley can be looked through another aspect that unwanted coalition of PDP and BJP has neither gone well with separatists nor some mainstream organizations in the valley and they are hell bent in creating a trouble for the coalition. But the best part of the government in such situation can be viewed from the concern of the same that instead of monitoring the situation and taking appropriate steps the CM was away in Delhi meeting with PM, FM and others and was seeking smart cities for the Jammu & Kashmir, additional food grains, increase in Haj quota etc. The Dy. CM responsible for state affairs when CM is away was enjoying 'Baisakhi Festival' at his home constituency Billawar and many others dancing to their own tunes and non to speak and react or monitor the situation in Handwara and NIT. We can oversee this tactical move of CM as to avoid its responsibility towards innocent people falling into the net of nefarious designs of anti national element and at the same time one should not expect viable moves from our Dy. CM, because of his no experience in the field of administration, law and order and practical handling of Kashmiri trouble shooters as he hails from the background of the education. His quality to be Dy.CM merely rests that he ever remain faithful BJP and never won any assembly election from Jammu and only win made him DY.CM, that to not from Jammu but from his home constituency. The rewards by BJP for their faithful persons are well known as earlier too many losers have been rewarded as Ministers such as Sh. Arun Jaitley and Smt. Sushma Swaraj. The abilities of Jammu based elected forum and occupying ministerial births in handling such situations, we have experienced during AIIMS issue in Jammu. This tour of The CM was remarked by ex CM Omar Abdullah as 'Her self promoting tour of Delhi' and he has rightly said that 'this is the same person who until a year ago would rush anywhere in the valley to shed tears at the slightest provocation'. The CM should realize that one can live without smart city, one can survive on half bread and one can be more religious than going on pilgrimage, but it is not possible to live in an atmosphere of firing, tear gas, lath charge, curfew, sexual threats (as in NIT) and anti national surcharged environment. The insensitive approach shown to handle the prevailing situations in the valley have escalated the problems leading to more deaths and it amount to win win situation for separatists and suspicion on the way of performance of the government.
The present turmoil erupted from the killing of Burhan Wanii is the culmination of all the absurdities by the present set up of government not acceptable to the commoners of the state. Lack of coordination among the BJP and PDP, mishandling of the situation by non efficient government, soft attitude of PDP towards separatists, banishing away of elected representatives into the air are some of the reasons which can be cited as failure of government. The efforts of central government to drift the common attention of the people from burning Kashmir can well be understood. This is a party who always think of new ideas and schemes to befool the common man and every third day come out with certain formulae to divert the attention of people from burning problems of the nation that may be 'Sushashn rallies', 'Tiranga Yatra' and what not.
A question comes to mind that expecting the new re-alliance to form the government as a failure and bad government, the CM have pre conceived the words of 'Annie Besant' , a prominent British socialist, theosophist, women's rights activist, writer, orator and supporter of Indian self-rule that "A people can prosper under a very bad government and suffer under a very good one, if in the first case the local administration is effective and in the second it is inefficient", and that is why the CM has ordered to hold local DC & SSP responsible for the local situations of any law and order problem. Had the people been empowered with the 'right to recall' both these governments in the state as well as center would have been resting in the dustbins instead of hollow promises, slogans, befooling the people and rejected and defeated leaders would not have been deciding the economy of the nation, un-secular minds deliberating upon the secular character of the country.
Concluding it is also suggested that both alliance partners should obtain the blessings of 'Sadhu Mahatmas and Sufi Saints' in view of the predictions mentioned in the opening as the luck is not favoring them in spite of blessings from the Central leadership.
