Public demand Ghatti- Saffiana road as per old survey

Kathua, Aug25 : A large number of people hailing from village Ghatti and surrounding areas today called on DDC Kathua and demanded construction of 16 Km road from Ghatti to Saffiana that would be benefit for Palel, Dawalta, Palouri, Jodh, Khabbal, Mourne, High School Juthana, Kashi Tadwal, Gamail, Junera, Tharwan, Jagadh Khana and Saffiana as per old survey conducted under PMGSY in March 2013.
Ravinder Singh sarpanch said that few influential persons including politicians wanted to conduct new survey through other side that would expand 32 Km from Ghatti to Saffiana not more beneficial than 16 km previous surveyed road. He said " Some monetary Politicians are trying to discard previous survey and wanted to conduct new one." Sarpanch informed that the land under previous survey was falling under Forest area and was 16 km long but new demanded survey would measure 32 km entirely cultivated land. He said that new measuring land would affect agricultural products for the people and must consider as nullify. The protesters demanded appropriate and legal action against those who are trying to manipulate the things in wrong way and road must be constructed as per previous survey DDC Kathua ensured the deputation to inquiry the matter and road would be constructed genuinely. Jaya Singh, Shaha Mohd., Mangal Singh, Devi Singh and many others were present on the occasion.
