Burglars' gang busted, stolen items from cellular tower recovered

Rajouri, Aug 25: Police today claimed to have busted a a gang of burglars besides recovering 12 stolen batteries and other accessory of a Cell Phone Tower of a private telecom operator under the jurisdiction of Kalakot police.
"The accused have been identified as Amit Mishra, Vikash Sharma and Vijay Kumar all resident of Sunderbani tehsil of Rajouri district, police said.
Sharing details a senior police officer said, "The gang of robbers seems to be expert in such robberies as they were carrying the vehicle along with them to ferry the stolen items quickly.
"After specific information about theft bid at a private cellular tower on the intervening night of August 24/25 in Ghargala Baruta under jurisdiction of Police Station Kalakot, the police party led by SHO from Kalakot rushed to the village and apprehended the burglars red handed," police officer said.
"The trio was arrested when they were loading the batteries and other items in a Tata Magic vehicle bearing registration NO. JK11-5257," he said adding," the said vehicles was also seized vehicle along with the stolen material."
"The above said trio has been booked in case under FIR No.67/16 u/s 457 (house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment) & 380 (Theft in dwelling house) RPC, he said and added that further investigations are on.
Police officer also added that busting of more robberies can't be ruled out as more revelations are expected during their sustained interrogation.
He added that Police is expecting more recoveries from the gang members.
