Jammu, Aug 26: The manner in which Education Department affects transfers of teachers can be gauged from the fact that a master who has been working in HSS Dablehar of RS Pura, for the last one year, has been transferred from Middle School Doongi (Reasi) to High School Rangpur Maulanian of R S Pura.
Document in possession of Early Times revealed that a master Tilak Raj, who as per records of Directorate of School Education, posted at Middle School, Doongi (Reasi) was transferred to High School, Rangpur Maulanian vide order no. 236 of DSEJ dated 23/5/2016. "But actually he is already posted at GHSS, Dablehar RS Pura since last one year and department concerned was caught unaware", sources said, alleging that it was the handiwork of some players of transfer industry and some officials of department.
Whereas, Master Dharam Paul, posted at high School, Rangpur Maulanian, was transferred at Middle School Doongi (Reasi), he didn't join the school, after the lapse of three months and forward his plea to Directorate of School Education, Jammu for modification of transfer and succeeded to retain himself in the same school of RS Pura. "It is very unfortunate that Dharam Paul was remained posted in Rangpur High School in place of Tilak Raj as latter was transferred to Rangpur but he had not joined this school and had been working in Dablehar school", sources said.
Sources in education department said that it was clear violation of transfer policy by DSEJ as Dharam Paul, is native of Akhnoor but his in-laws are in RS Pura and has been working in RS Pura for the last many years in violation of transfer policy.
Department is caught unaware as DSEJ is totally unaware as who is working in which school and who has joined the school or not.
"Some blue-eyed teachers and masters have been managing their postings in choicest places by various means and this all is undergoing under the nose of authorities, which have maintained a cryptic silence over the matter, due to reasons best known to them", an official alleged.
It is pertinent to mention here that the order number 236-DSEJ of 2016, published by DSEJ, "Repatriation of Masters," dated 23-05-2016, the DSEJ had transferred 71 masters working in District, Reasi, Rajouri, Doda, Udhampur wherein Master, Tilak Raj in serial number, 21 and Dharm Paul at serial number, 22 both of them get choicest posting whereas others have been forced to join the same which exposed the tall claims of Education minister, made on time to time. |
