Youth attacked, miscreants pelted stones at his residence

Jammu, Aug 26: A youth was allegedly attacked by some miscreants who also pelted stone at his residence at Preet Nagar area.
Police sources said that a youth identified as Manpreet Singh reported to police that h ewa sitting at his residence in Preet Nagar when some miscreants started pelting stone on his residence.
"When he came and resisted the same he was attacked by them and managed to escape from the spot", said a police source adding that acting on the complaint a case was registered. Meanwhile, Kanachak police registered a case against a woman for assaulting another woman over old rivalry. Police sources said that one Champa Devi of Garhi reported to police that she was attacked by Raj Devi over an old rivalry.
In Janipur area, a man identified as Romesh Chander of Janipur colony was assaulted by one Mohammad Gafoor of a land dispute. Police have registered a case and started investigation in this regard.
