POONCH, Aug 27: Annual inter-district Divisional level sports meet in the discipline of Football under-14 and under-17, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), got underway at Boys Higher Secondary School, here today. The competition was declared open by District Development Commissioner (DDC), Poonch, Mohammad Harun Malik, who was chief guest. Speaking to the gathering, Malik congratulated the participating teams for their selection at the district level and wished them success in the divisional level meet. Among others present were Principal of the host school, Prem Parkash, Shashi Bushan, Sham Lal Sharma, Nirdosh Kumar and other guests. In all, six districts of Jammu division are taking part in this competition. In the opening match, Poonch blanked district Ramban 9-0 in under-17 category. The opening match officiated by the technical penal comprising Rajinder Singh PEM, Rajinder Singh PEM, Vipon Kumar. PEM and Bhopinder Singh PEM. |
