Jammu, Aug 28: Former Minister Manjit Singh asked the ruling coalition partner BJP to clear its stand whether it has surrendered before separatists. Speaking in a function here at Vijaypur organised to pay homage to two farmers killing in police firing in 1991 Puran Singh and Romesh Lal during a protest demonstration against power crises. "26 years back too, there was a power crisis then which has not ended yet. Even today, farmers have been facing same situation and nothing has changed for them. They are still striving for electricity supply," he added. The Former Minister said people of Jammu division voted BJP to power and for first time, they came to power. However, all their promises fell flat. "They assured development, adequate power supply and proper share of Jammu region but nothing like this happened. They are in government for power not to fulfill desires of the people for which they were sending to power," he reached, while speaking before the people. Manjit Singh, JKPCC general secretary, presently when the Kashmir is boiling and it seems BJP has surrendered before the separatists and pro-Pakistan groups sidelining interest of Jammu and Nation. "They have compromised their basic ideology and sold it for their vested interests. The people of Jammu have been feeling cheated at the hands of saffron party which claimed to be champion and representative of the division," he maintained.
