Udhampur, Aug 29: Inter-College seminar on the topic "Role of ICT in Education" was organized by the Science Club of the College in collaboration with J&K State Council for Science, Technology & Innovation, and District Office Udhampur. Around 18 students drawn from the various Colleges participated in this seminar. The symposium was coordinated by Dr. Sanjay Kharoo District Coordinator Science, Technology & Innovation Council, Udhampur. The function started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Prof. K.S. Koushal Principal of the College and other dignitaries followed by the keynote address by Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, Convener of the Science Club. He said that adoption and use of ICT's in education have a positive impact on teaching, learning and research. ICT can affect the delivery of education and enable wider access to the same. In addition, it increases flexibility so that learners can access the education regardless of time and geographical barriers. Prof. K.S. Koushal in his presidential address said that with the world moving rapidly into digital media and information, the role of ICT in education has become more and more important and this importance will continue to grow and develop in the 21st century. |
