Jammu, Aug 29: The 47th regional sports meet for Kabaddi, Chess, Skating & Yoga (Girls) U-14/17/19 of KVS Jammu Region was inaugurated in KV. No.1 Jammu today.
More than 300 participants from 25 KVs of Jammu Region attended inaugural Ceremony. The Programme started with giving Scout & Guide welcome to the Chief Guest of the occasion Assistant Commissioner and officiating Deputy Commissioner KVS (JR), S Sambanna. Thereafter to honor the Chief Guest and other Guests bouquets were presented by Venue Principal, T.R Choudhary.
A brief cultural programme was also presented by the children of KV No. 1 Jammu that included a welcome song and a western dance. Sports oath was administered by a student of KV. No.1 Jammu, Ayushi Ujjwal.
Assistant Commissioner & officiating Deputy Commissioner KVS (JR), S. Sambanna in his address highlighted the importance of Sports and Games and declared the Meet Open. The ceremony came to end with the release of colourful balloons. |
