Jammu, Aug 29: Inter District Division Level Competition in the sports discipline of Cricket for Boys U/19 yrs of Jammu Division got underway here at G.G.M Science college and High School Satwari Cantt..
In all 144 boys drawn from 9 districts of Jammu Division are taking part in the competition. The competitions are being organized by Department of Youth Servicers and Sports Jammu as a part of annual calendar of activities of the Department.
The main objective of the competition is to select the probables in the discipline of cricket for Inter District Division Level Competition.
The matches were officiated by Saleem-ul-rehman, Sadhik Hussain, Suresh Singh, Madan Mohan, Farooq Ahmed , Jagtar Singh and Satika Sharma did the scoring.
The competitions were organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports district Jammu under the chairmanship of Madan Lal Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu and under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma DYSSO Jammu.
In the first match, Samba Beat Kishtwar by 19 runs . Kishtwar won the toss and decided to field first. Samba Scored 85 runs for 9 wkt in 15 overs.
The main scorer for Samba District were Chandan , Devinder and Vishal who scored 25, 16 and 11 runs respectively for their side while the main wicket takers were Rashid with 2/10, Umer 2/15. Kishtwar chasing the target of 86 runs in 15 over scored 66 runs for all in 13.2 overs The main scorers for Kishtwar were Ajay , Owais and Sohail who scored 11, 10 and 10 runs for their side while the main wickets takers for Samba were Vishal and Nikhil who took 2 wkts each for 12 runs respectively.
In the second match, Reasi Beat Kathua by 24 runs. Reasi scored 73 for all in 14.2 overs. Kapil, Pardeep and Sahil remained the top scorers with 12, 10 and 10 respectively. Main wkts taker for Kathua were Abhinand 4 for 8 runs and Raj Kumar 3 for 10 runs. Replying Kathua made 49 runs for all in 12.3 overs, Rohit Sharma remain the top scorer with 18 runs and Main wkts for Reasi were taken by Rajesh with 3/5 runs, Pardeep 2/7 runs , Dinesh 2/8 runs and Surjeet 2/13 runs.
In the third match at Heritage School Sainik Colony, Poonch beat Ramban by 47 runs. Poonch made 119 for all out (Rustam and Mustaq scored 23 and 16 runs respectively). Ramban team got out on 72 for all (Vijay and Irfan Scored 18 and 10 runs respectively). In the 4th match, Udhampur got walk over Rajouri and qualified for the next round. |
