Udhampur, Aug 29: Police foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing eight bovine animals and seizure of abandoned truck while a manhunt is on to nab the bovine smugglers who managed to escape from naka at Roun Domail Udhampur. Police sources said, "Following reliable information, a Police Party of Police Post of Roun Domail Udhampur led by I/C PP Roun SI Khyati Maan Khajuria laid a surprise naka near Roun Domail. "Police team intercepted one Truck bearing registration no. JK02AJ-1486 on its way to Kashmir but driver by taking advantage of darkness managed to give slip to police, sources said, adding, " the police on thorough search found the vehicles loaded with 08 bovine animals which were rescued and the truck was seized. A case in this connection stands registered at Police Station Udhampur while further investigations are on. |
