After detention, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Head of the moderate Hurriyat has been kept in a luxurious hut at Cheshma Shahi , Srinagar these days by the State Government . This is something special . Many a times , he was arrested earlier but was remained under detention for some days in the local Police Stations of Srinagar. The hut is converted into a sub jail. Others leaders of the Hurriayat factions have also been arrested some days back and people of the valley have been restricted to meet them.There are indications that shortly the Government is going to start the dialogue process with the Hurriayat and the other Separatists leaders after feeling the pulse of the people of valley . Track - 2 diplomacy and the talks are on the cards with all the stake holders in order to make halt the ongoing unrest in the valley without any further delay. As per the fearless English daily - Early Times, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is being given the VIP treatment in the Cheshma Shahi hut and regularly a Doctor deputed by the State Government is visiting him for enquiring about his well being there . Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is fit and fine. As per the daily, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is deliberately being kept in the hut at Cheshma Shahi to set a stage for the initiation of the dialogue process with the Hurriayat. It is also learnt that a bunch of governmental functionaries are in regular touch with the moderate Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. In the hut, they met him and discussed the ongoing turmoil in the valley in a very cordial atmosphere. This is just to persuade him for the dialogue for which the Union Government is very much keen to involve him in the interests of the state. Apprehending the mood of the Separatists and valley people, he is being persuaded for not issuing the protests calendar further and keep themselves ready for the constructive dialogue with the Centre . As a part of the diplomacy and in order to defuse the Kashmir Unrest, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti is taking the initiative as she is having good relations with the leaders of moderate and staunch factions of both the Huriayat factions when her party was not in power in the State and were fighting against the State Govt. set up for the cause of the valley people . Mirwaiz Umar Farooq always pleaded for the restoration of the free movement of the subjects of this land and those of POJK without any fear and restrictions as also of the opinion that there should be a free trade amongst the traders of the both sides of LOC, he opined a number of times. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq as per his body chemistry and his deeds and actions look like a seasoned personality of the valley who never comes in the aggressive form and in the past he has not spoken any derogatory words against any National leader of stature except pleading for the Kashmir cause . Since Geelani has finished his inning in Kashmir politics thereby keeping an eye on Pakistan but not on making the welfare of the masses of Kashmir as a whole. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq should rise to the occasion and keeping in view the sufferings faced by the general masses of Kashmir in the past and for the furthering of their upliftment so as to enable them to pass their lives in a meaningful and dignified manner while remaining in the ambit of Indian Constitution . If he has something new and feasible both for the country and the people of this land, he should have the courage and strength to project the same to the Union Government for consideration on priority .
Pertinent to mention here that those who had gone to that side from the valley for a short span, they have realized that they are hundred and hundred times better than those who live on that side of LOC permanently where no total freedom prevails as in our state. Now the people of POJK have revolted against the PAK Government openly and raised their voices for the total AZADI from the clutches of the PAK slavery. Not only this, on Independence Day - 15th August Prime Minister of India Narender Modi gave the moral support to the people of Blauchistan who against their wishes are being ruled by the military junta and the Nawaz Shrief Government. In the Dialogue process, not AZADI but short of it while remaining within the ambit of Indian Constitution may be thought for by the Central Government in the very interests of the nation as a whole as also to avoid ongoing Kashmir unrest further. At the moment, as per the Agenda of Alliance of PDP and BJP Combine is in place. This combine earlier also ruled the state for 10 months under the Chief Minister ship of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed till his sudden and untimely death on 7th January. Having remained under Governor's Rule effective from 8th January for 87 days. Mehbooba Mufti was sworn as the Chief Minister of the J&K state along with other 22 members of her cabinet. Seeing the present Kashmir turmoil now the present National Government led by Narender Modi is very much serious to clinch the Kashmir tangle once for all at the earliest possible. Ali Shah Geelani who remained at the helm of affairs in exploiting the valley people for joining with Pakistan for ever. has already outlived his inning and is facing the numerous ailments, he needs total rest. He kept the Kashmir issue alive with the help of Pakistan since Independence. Let the Government of India (GOI) takes the new initiatives involving the Kashmir centric leaders and Separatists for an early settlement of the issue involved. It looks that whatever Mirwaiz Umar Farooq will plead in the best interests of the Jammu and Kashmir state , the Central Government would get the utmost attention in order to clinch the issue (s) once for all . He is sharp in his actions and vocal in the sense that he is not afraid of any body and whatever he is to say , he speaks before the masses fearlessly.
Since he is a moderate and always keeps his options open for conviction and he is still to play a long inning in the field of politics as also for the welfare of the poor masses of the valley. He should rise to the occasion and do practically something extraordinary for the overall benefits of people of the State and also expose who remained in power since 1947 in the state . He should also interact with other intellectuals of the State so as to make it possible for the settlement of Kashmir issue while remaining within the frame work of Indian Constitution. Mirwaiz may be able to contribute in taking the things to the logical conclusion in the best interests of the country without any further loss of time . Due to the long Kashmir Unrest, the people of the valley have suffered a lot and are now totally fed up actually with the shut downs in the valley. They want the healing touch instantly . With the grace of the almighty , things shall start moving in the right direction in the days to come and certainly an amicable solution to the Kashmir problem would be found very soon as a result of the talks and the Track -2 diplomacy. |
