Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 31: Investigating agencies are probing the ways and means about how Hawala money for secessionists flows into Kashmir.
Sources told Early Times on Wednesday that Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has asked the investigating agencies to block all the channels through which the Hawala money reaches Valley.
"Till now Police and other agencies have registered six cases in connection with the Hawala transactions and in coming days a few more cases are likely to be registered."
"Lakhs of rupees are smuggled into Jammu and Kashmir in gas cylinders. Money is stitched to salwar kameez donned by women to deflect the attention. The directive is issued in Pakistan to move money into Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan then activates its sympathisers across the globe to start moving money into accounts controlled by the separatists.
There have been instances when the money has moved in through a Hawala channel to Delhi and then the same is collected by a point man," sources said, adding that there are several militant training camps in PoK of various outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba, Hizbul Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammad which are used for training and subsequently for infiltrating trained militants into Jammu and Kashmir. The money which flows into Kashmir is distributed among these armed militants and their over ground workers."
Insiders revealed that lot of money through Hawala channels came into Kashmir from January this year. "The separatists who were arrested during the present uprising had put in lot of hard work to set Kashmir on fire.
Their bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) had directed them to leave their differences aside and share a common platform to trigger Ragda in Kashmir. The JKLF Chief Yasin Malik was assigned the job to rope in all the separatist elements to intensify the proxy war launched by Pakistan on the streets of Kashmir."
A source said, "People like Ashraf Sehrai, Peer Saifullah, Ayaz Akbar and others who were frequently seen with the Pakistan High Commissioner in Delhi Abdul Basit were asked to distribute the money among radical groups so that they can develop a network of miscreants who could be used when the need arises."
The source claimed that all the activists of the separatists groups get fixed monthly salary and incentives.
"All the activists are paid on monthly basis.
The militancy and unleashing terror on streets has turned into a full-fledged business.
A few businessmen are active members of the separatist groups and they do also get their due share," said a source.
He said, "A few selected businessmen who are supporting the Hurriyat calendar too are under the scanner of investigating agencies and in coming days noose would be tightened around them also.
At present the immediate task for the security agencies is to identify the point men who were acting as conduits for Hawala transactions. Security agencies cracking whip against the separatists has unnerved them and they are trying their best to save their skins."
