Possibly Nawaz Sharif may not be knowing the meaning of Intifada which is resistence.,a form of uprising. This means that if Burhan Wani was a symbol of uprising Pakistan Prime Minister was supportive of it. If one goes into the roots of intifada one may have to think of the struggle between Palestinians and Israel. The Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The first intifada lasted from 1987 to 1993, and the second began in 2000 does Nawaz Sharif compare the ongoing turmoil with the uprising in the Gaza strip? If he does so he is mistaken. What should not be music to the earer of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Molvi Umar Farooq and other separatists is the way Nawaz Sharif remained silent about them. He neither praised them nor berated them indicating that these separatists had failed to incite people to indulge inviolence as Burhan Wani could. This means that what Pakistan was waiting for Burhan Wani gave them violence, death and clashes.These issues have been taken up by Pakistan during a debate on Kashmir in the UN. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's praise at the UN General Assembly for slain militant Burhan Muzaffar Wani has again raised questions on his country's commitment to end terrorism. During his address at the UNGA in New York, Sharif raked up the issue of Kashmir and called Wani a "young leader" who has "emerged as the symbol of the latest Kashmiri Intifada, a popular and peaceful freedom movement." However, in a video released in August 2015, Wani is seen batting for goals beyond an independent Kashmir. In fact, he wanted a global Islamic Caliphate. This call doesn't match his popular image among many Kashmiris of an individual fighting for the Kashmiri community. This demand and "struggle" of Wani and his fellow militants resonates with the efforts of the Islamic State terrorist group which aims to establish the rule of the Calipha. The world is against the activities of the ISIS and Nawaq Sharif equates Burhan Wani with the leaders of IS wishing to establish Islamic state.
