| GOI must make optimum use of world opinion again Pakistan: HARSH | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 24 : Urging upon the Govt to launch a full throttle campaign for declaration of Pakistan as a terrorist state, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister today said that India should not falter or fumble at the present juncture when the international community had also expressed its antipathy and disapproval with Pak romanticizing terror.
He said that with Pakistan having received an international drubbing for promoting terror, this opportunity should not be lost due to political indecisiveness.
Describing the introduction of a Bill in US congress for designating Pak a terror state as a powerful snub to Pakisan, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that the initiative had given a significant message to the world at large. He said that it was not relevant whether the bill was passed or not but the US lawmakers had given a strong indication of their mood by acknowledging Pakistan as state sponsor of terrorism.
He said that Russia calling off its joint exercise with Pakistan, which it was conducting after 16 years, was another shot in the arm for India. He said that the countries including UK, Canada and France had also expressed their abhorrence against Uri-attack and cautioned Pakistan to refrain from aiding or abetting terrorism in any form. He said that even China had revealed its worry over its huge investment in projects like economic corridor and snubbed Pakistan over its misadventures and terror tactics despite being an avowed supporter of Pakistan.
Singh said that with such kind of diplomatic edge, India needed to be pro-active in its initiative for isolating Pakistan at the international level. He said that it should not only review the highly prejudicial Indus Water Treaty (IWT) but also withdraw the 'Most Favoured Nation' title conferred upon Pakistan. He said that it should further review all its business ties with Pakistan as all trading also needs to be stopped before other nations are persuaded to isolate Pakistan.
Urging upon the GOI to go the whole hog against belligerent neighbour for its export of terror, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that the issue of economic sanctions against Pakistan with stoppage of all financial aid from institutions like IMF, world Bank, ADB was required to be pursued vigorously. He said that Pakistan's notoriety with all its terror Training Camps, its Hawala deals, its drug trafficking, its moral and material support to secessionists and highly rancorous propaganda in favour of terrorist outfits was required to be fully exposed before the entire world. |
