Udhampur, Sept 24: Up in arms against the dictatorial and irresponsible behaviour of Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur towards advocate fraternity in particular and public in general, the members of District Bar Association, Udhampur today held a strong protest demonstration and burnt the effigy of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur.
While speaking on the occasion, Adv Surinder Khajuria, President, Bar Association, disclosed that the attitude of the ADC Udhampur is totally dictatorial and high condemnable.
He also alleged that yesterday, the ADC also behaved with a young female advocate who had gone to his court to attend some case but the ADC, instead of listening to the female Advocate, that too in presence of other Advocates used highly irresponsible language which is highly condemnable.
He demanded that the ADC Udhampur should be immediately removed /transferred and strict action should be taken against him.
He also informed that the Bar Association has also passed a detailed resolution regarding the whole incident and the same has been submitted to the Deputy Commissioner for further action.
While submitting the resolution to the DC Udhampur, the members of the Bar Association, Udhampur were also accompanied by Adv Pranav Kohli, Vice-President, JKHCBA, Jammu who also extended his full support to the Bar Association, Udhampur.
