Citizen Forum criticizes Drabu for opposing GST 9/26/2016 11:03:02 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 26: Citizen's Forum has requested the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to elaborate the opposition of Finance Minister Hasseeb Drabu to implement GST in present form in our state. As per press release, members of the Forum said that what does Drabu means by stating J&K as constitutional issue and seeking comprehensive mechanism or the setting up of sub groups to address issues of the state. Drabu's statement that" Jammu and Kashmir is a much larger issue, which is a constitutional issue, which has not been settled yet", smacks of Hurriyat flavor. They strongly objected to the mention of constitutional issue of this state being unsettled, it is reminded that J&K is an integral part of India and we want the GST in its present form be implemented in this state to get relief from the draconian Financial laws of this state which inflict mental agony to all business men and industrialists of this state. The state is already corruption ridden because of the various financial rules and laws which creates hindrance at every stage of procurement and sale of products by the small and large business houses . Tax over tax, has broken the back bone of a common man.
