Kishtwar, Sept 28: The chief judicial magistrate (CJM), Kishtwar, today granted 10 days police remand of all the three persons arrested by police under sedition charges. Police produced government employee Ajaiz Ahmed Kelam, son of Nazir Ahmad Kelam of Fareedia Road, Firdous Ahmad Baghwan, son of Khurshid Ahmad Baghwan of Baghwan Mohalla, and Syed Asif, son of Manzoor Ahmed of Tund, in the court of CJM Balbir Singh Jaswal who after going through the details of the case remaned them to 10 days police custody. It is pertinent to mention that Kishtwar police has launched a major crack down on those involved in anti-national protests in the town. Besides them, Abdul Qayoom Mattoo and Saif-ud-Din Baghwan have been booked under PSA and lodged in the Kot-Bhalwal jail, Jammu. Meanwhile, normalcy limped back to the district with police launching no more night raids to arrest those who were involved in anti-national protests. The day curfew was today lifted from the entire district from 8 AM today and as per the officials of the administration and police, the night curfew will remain in place for few more days. |
