ABMS protest against health department, stage dharna

billawar, Sept 29:To full fill the vacant posts of doctor and technical staff, Billawar activists of Atyachar Brashtachar Mukti Sangathan with Yuva Bharat Sangathan protested against health department in which large number of local youth and prominent citizens from all the corners of Billawar area participated.
The activists of ABMS gathered at Shaheedi Chowk Deoli under the leadership of advocate Pankaj Basotra convenor ABMS and matched towards SDH Billawar where they staged dharna in front of sub district hospital Billawar and blocked Billawar Phinter road for about two hours.
Tehsildar Billawar Vishavjeet Singh and SHO Billawar Susheel Sharma reached on the spot where they talked with the agitating youth and after their assurance they called off dharna and restored the road and submit memorandum to the Chief Minister through SDM Billawar.
While addressing the gathering advocate Pankaj Basotra said that he tried to reach very nook and corner of Billawar constituency where majority of public complained about the lack of medical facilities in Billawar hospital and also the shortage of staff in SDH Billawar and also in various P.H.Cs like Ramkot Uchapind Kohag which is very unfortunate. Basotra said that for the last few months the SDH Billawar is working without surgeon, child specialist and anesthesiologist and also there are various posts of techincal staff which are lying vacant but there is no one to take care of this.
Basotra said that in last few months many accidental cases have taken place in Billawar and due to the lack of medical facilities in Billawar majority of patients have been shifted to Jammu due to which some of them have lost their precious lives in last few months.
He also lamented the recent delivery case of Dharamkot only due to the non availability of child specialist in Billawar child has to be referred to Shalamar hospital but can't survive which is huge setback to the parents of that child.
Basotra also said that still after 70years of Independence people of Billawar are deprived of basic needs like roads connectivity, poor health facilities, electricity and water which is serious concern and it needs to be addressed as early possible.
