JAMMU, Sept 29: The State Government taking serious exception to opening of educational institutions for students in Kashmir so that the students whose education has been affected with closure of regular educational institutions by separatists running the so-called movement in Kashmir after the killing of dreaded terrorist Burhan Wani has issued directives to Education institutions to ensure the opening of all Schools in Kashmir. The instructions in this regard were issued by none else than Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to Education Minister Naeem Akhtar. Sources said the Government while taking serious exception to opening of parallel education institutions has termed it a challenge to its authority by the vested elements which are hell bent to destabilise the situation in the Valley further and who don't want peace should prevail in Valley. Sources said to break the back of such people who in the name of some social organisations are trying to challenge the authority of government by opening private educational institutions and asking Government teachers of that locality to attend these schools for teaching students. However higher-ups in government and education department has taken serious view of it, sources added.
Sources said the education department has issued directors to all CEOs and ZEOs to ensure opening of educational institutions in their respective areas and check the attendance of teachers as well. The teachers and other staff who fails to comply will be dealt seriously, sources added. Sources said the teachers who fail to report their duties from next week will face disciplinary action.
Sources said CM has directed opening of schools by asking all teachers including the package teachers to report their duties in Valley.
Sources said Government has made it clear that no body will be allowed to make mockery of the system in the State and issues directives to Government teachers drawing salaries from State coffers. The Government has further said that the teachers who have joined such schools should quit the Government job first or be ready for termination so that unemployed youth can be selected at their place.
