JAMMU, Sept 29: As he could not develop liking for any of the cops posted in the district, a DSP, who is posted as SDPO in Kashmir, has used his links at the PHQ to get an IRP cop allotted as his PSO.
After the SDPO failed to make up his mind to select a cop as his PSO from the district police, he wrote to the PHQ, requesting senior officers to allot him the IRP cop as his PSO as he was his confidant, police sources said.
The letter was written by him in August last, but he got the PSO after a month and a half in September, sources said and added that the SDPO was considered as a powerful officer in the state police circles.
While he himself was posted in executive police, he got the PSO from IRP, sources said surprisingly. Soon after PHQ issued order No 2792, ordering the cop's attachment with him as his PSO, the DSP immediately sent its copy to the IRP battalion and got him relieved, sources informed.
The DSP was said to have got posted as SDPO as per his choice on the recommendation of senior officers. |
