Jammu's neglect

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 29: BJP national general secretary and one of the architects of the "sinister" agenda of alliance, Ram Madhav, would visit Jammu on Wednesday and he would do this and he would do that to assuage the hurt feelings of the neglected, marginalized and humiliated people of Jammu province, Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs included. Yes, he came to Jammu, along with Jammu and Kashmir Prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, on Wednesday and held a meeting with the party leaders for more than four hours and went back after warning the BJP leaders that the high command would not appreciate those who make public the issue of discrimination with the people of Jammu.
"Keep patience and don't make unwanted statements or upload controversial material on the social networking sites, which can invite embarrassment to the coalition Government," he reportedly said while addressing the State BJP office bearers, Morcha presidents and district Prabharis, during the meeting, held in camera.
He did not stop just there. He further said: "Even if someone feels that Jammu is being ignored in respect of development or in any specific sector, he can give suggestions for the remedial measures but all this must be discussed at internal forum without going public".
Insiders inform that a number of BJP leaders raked up the issue of discrimination with the people of Jammu province and "Ram Madhav, instead of reassuring them that the party high command would make the state government to dispense justice to them warned them that it would be considered an act of indiscipline if any BJP leader goes public and air his/her views on the functioning of the government and the party ministers".
Insiders further informed that "Ram Madhav's ire was directed against party MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Ramesh Arora, who sometime back had criticized the party ministers and asked them to come out of the government if they could not deliver". Ashok Khajuria had even gone to the extent of dismissing the alliance with the PDP as "anti-national".
They further revealed that Ram Madhav was also "unhappy with those BJP spokespersons who had criticized the latest decision of the Centre to recruit all the 10,000 SPOs from Kashmir and none from Jammu and Ladakh" and "those who criticized the state government for not announcing ex-gratia for the bereaved families of the Uri martyrs Ravi Paul and Karnail Singh".
It is clear that the BJP is all out to appease Kashmir and humiliate Jammu and Ladakh. Indeed, the people of Jammu and Ladakh committed a grave political blunder by voting for the BJP.
