NEw Delhi, Sept 30:Following the surgical strikes conducted by India along the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday in which over 50 terrorists were killed, the intelligence reports have sounded a high alert in the Jammu region.
The agency said that the terrorists who are already in valley may get instructions to carry out some strike.
They may target security forces but the apprehension of targeting the civilians is high.
Sleeper cells won't be able to help the Pak ISI in case of a planned retaliation as many were targeted while agencies were working on Islamic State modules.
Some terror camps along the LOC have shifted back in PoK region after Wednesday surgical strikes, the intelligence sources said.
The Indian Army conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir inflicting significant damage to the terrorist infrastructure across the border.
Lt. General Ranbir Singh, DGMO, addressed media in the national capital on Thursday, September 29. While addressing them Ranbir Singh said, "Indian Army conducted surgical strikes on terror launch pads on the LoC, significant casualties have been caused."
He further added, "I spoke to the Pak DGMO, shared our concerns and told him that we conducted surgical strikes last night". "The motive of this operation was to hit out at the terrorists who were planning to infiltrate into our territory," he further added.
DGMO Lt. General Ranbir Singh also said that the operation has ceased, but Indian army is all prepared for any contingency arising out of the strike.
