Jammu, Oct 7: More skeletons are tumbling out from the cupboard of attachment industry prevailing in Health department. For example, despite her posting at CHC Kalakot, Rajouri, a doctor has been enjoying attachment in District Hospital Rajouri since the day government issued her transfer order. Dr Jasmine Kousar was posted at Community Health Centre Kalakot last year, sources said, adding that due to her political connections the doctor managed her attachment at District Hospital Rajouri. "There is only one post of lady doctor in Sub District Hospital, Kalakot and Dr Jasmine was posted here. But, the doctor managed attachment order from Directorate of Health Service Jammu in same week", sources said. They said that in July this year, the state government cancelled all attachment, but the blue eyed doctor managed to escape from GAD's order. "After government order, the Director Health Services vide order DHS-J/Gen-Adm/4817-26 Dated 28/07/2016 directed all HoDs to cancel all attachments, paradoxically, busy in private practice, the doctors did not regarded GAD as well as DHS Jammu's order. They further said that the Sub District Hospital is already suffering of shortage of doctors, despite sanctioned posts. "In the absence of Gynecologist in hospital, a MBBS doctor is conducting delivery in hospital, non-availability of lady doctor to deal delivery cases, forces people to explore other options", sources said and added that those who can bear expenses, prefer private nursing home in Sunderbani for delivery. "But, those who are at receiving end, have no option except compromise with situation", sources informed and added that Er Abdul Ghani Kohli concerned MLA and Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, several time had directed concerned department to cancel attachment orders but, things over an year remained un-changed. When contacted, Block Medical Officer, Kalakot, Dr. Shamim Ahmed, admitted that the doctor was attached at DH Rajouri. "Recently she joined here and went on leave", the BMO said, avoiding further quires. "I can't exactly, when she joined and went on leave", BMO said, despite the fact there are even less five doctors are available in the hospital including BMO. |
