Uniformity in period of extension of affiliation be applied to all schools 10/20/2016 10:44:15 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 20: The members of Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Ram Singh Chouhan & Gurtaj Singh appealed Education authorities, the Commissioner/Secretary Education Department & Chairman J&K State Board of School Education of their latest decision of granting extension of affiliation for 5 years to those schools which stand affiliated to BOSE for more than 10 years as published by all daily news papers dated 17-09-2016. They said that out of the schools which were due for processing their cases for extension of affiliation/Recognition from 01-04-2016, those schools which fulfilled all criteria were accorded extension for 3 years vide order No:-F- (Affi-Gen-B) JD/16-B-49 dated:-25-07-2016. Now those cases which were incomplete and pending will get the benefit of modified Govt order no 339-Edu.of 2016 dt.16-09-2016 and get extension for 5 years. Why should those schools which have completed more than 10 years get deprived of this benefit? They further urged upon the Education Minister Naeem Akhtar & Commissioner/Secretary Education department to issue recognition orders in favour of those private schools that are functioning for last more than ten years at the time of issue of above mentioned modification order and in favour of those schools whose, affiliation order has been issued for 3 years only instead of 5 years in a meeting of affiliation committee held on 25-07-2016 in the BOSE campus which are functioning last more than ten years. Similarly, the release said that SRO 123 of Education department need also be withdrawn /modified because it is not practicable at all and is violently discriminatory vis-à-vis Government schools & Private schools. In order to avoid harassment to the Private schools, the order approved by the state affiliation committee in BOSE, headed by Commissioner /Secretary Education department with regard to extension in affiliation/ recognition to Pvt. schools need be uploaded on 'Net' to bring transparency in issuing Government order for recognition from Civil Secretariat, the release said.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
