Rajouri, Oct 20: Army troops busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition,including Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Rajouri district,official source said. Acting on intelligence inputs,the Infantry Battalion Territorial Army and troops of 38 Rashtriya Rifles launched a joint search operation along with police in Kathunia area,they said.During the search operation at a thickly forested area,troops recovered a huge cache of arms,ammunition and war-like stores hidden inside a natural cave type hideout,they said.
The arms and ammunition include 3 IEDs,one pistol of Pakistan-make,2 AK magazine,102 Rounds of AK ammunition,32 electronic detonator,10 rounds of PIKA ammunition,40 grenades of automatic grenade launcher,14 rounds of MGL,3 remote control IED,5-kg explosive,9 Chinese-make grenade and one Pakistan-make grenade.
The recovery has dealt a severe blow to the evil designs of the terrorists,they added. |
