JAMMU, Oct 21National Panther Student Union (NPSU) today called on the Controller of Examination JU, to submit the memorandum regarding the issue of the date sheet of the opening UG 3rd semester examination. According to press release, the President of NPSU, Thakur Virender Singh informed COEJU that exams for the UG semester 3rd are being held much earlier this year than normal routine and students are facing problem in preparing for exams. He further said that the students are not having sufficient time to properly prepare for exams. As the regular class work of the students started from 28th of August and the students got only 2 months to finish the semester studies as the exams are from 15th of November but according to rules the semester is meant to be finished in six months but the University is giving only three months to complete the semester which is completely an act of injustice. He also mentioned that many students of 3rd semester have to appear for the UG 1st semester reappear examinations date sheets which are also being held in November. Singh appealed the COEJU to extend the date sheet so that students get proper time to prepare for examination. In response COEJU assured the students that he shall look into the matter and take the necessary steps so that studies of students are not harmed. Bhupinder Singh, Sumit Jamwal, Chetan Sharma, Shubam Jamwal, Ridhi Baskhi, Anju Thapa, Shagun and other students apprised the COE about the problems being faced by students. |
